Full Description
These Workshop proceedings cover recent models of turbulence/combustion interaction applicable to ignition/extinction phenomena. These are precisely validated experimentally in academic set-ups with simple geometry. The theory and numerical implementation of Conditional Moment Closure and Eulerian Stochastic Field approaches are discussed in the context of Large-Eddy Simulation, with exemplary application to ignition modeling. In addition, the methodology proposed for the industrial design of combustion systems in aeroengines is presented.
