Viennese painter Gustav Klimt (1862-1918)may be best known for his golden paintings of women, like The Kiss. He also painted these gardens, and we've pruned them to reproduce two details of each: The cover image, sunflowers front and center, is a detail of From Garden with Flowers (Brewet Garden at Litzlberg on the Attersee), c. 1906, from the Osterreichische Galerie Belvedere in Vienna; more abstract, colourful blooms are from Flower Garden, 1905-07, from a private collection.
