First Comprehension Book 2 is aimed at children who are gaining confidence in written comprehension. It is designed to stretch high-achievers in Year 2 (ages 6 - 7), and also provides extra practice for children in Year 3 (ages 7 - 8). 18 carefully selected texts reflect the range of genres recommended by the National Curriculum, and accompanying questions are presented in two parts, to suit the concentration level of most children in this age group.
