Students of Buddhism must be equipped with at least one of the Buddhist canonical languages: Pali, Sanskrit, Tibetan or Chinese. This book comprises two main parts, a grammar and a reader. A fifth of the book deals with Chinese grammar, together with information concerning the writing of Chinese and the use of dictionaries and other reference works.
