Full Description
This program will focus on percutaneous endoscopic gastronomy tubes (PEGS) and percutaneous endoscopic jejunostomy tubes (PEJs or J-tubes). The rationale for their use as well as the procedure for inserting them will be discussed and illustrated. Nursing assessments prior to, during, and after their placement as well as routine care of these tubes will be described through the use of scenarios.
