It maps out the international human rights agenda as it stands at the end of the 20th century, focusing on four interrelated themes. The first concerns the conceptual development of human rights, the second looks at human rights in the Asia Pacific region, the third considers human rights in a post-Cold-War environment and the fourth assesses the protection and monitoring of human rights.
