This book reviews empirical research findings on democracy, authoritarianism and education. It examines the results of a survey of the attitudes of 10000 college and university students in 44 countries towards authority, democracy, nationalism, militarism, internationalism, and educational policy choices. One interesting finding is that authoritarianism levels translate into lower scores on democratic attitudes and internationalism, higher ones on nationalism and militarism scores, and support for more conservative and provincial (and monocultural) educational policy options.
