Full Description
The Economic Survey is a document which dicusses policy initiatives taken by the Government of India in the previous year and the impact of such initiatives on India's economy. It summarizes the performance of major development programmes, and the prospects of the economy in the short to medium term.
Volume 2 is a detailed analytical review of recent developments, and captures all developments taking place since the publication of Volume 1. Some of the major developments discussed include impact of GST implentation, demonetization benefits, macroeconomic impact of farm loan waivers, and impact of digitization on commercial transactions, among others. It includes a detailed statistical appendix consisting of data relating to various economic indicators such as national income and production, budgetry transactions, prices, balance of payments, foreign trade, and human development indicators, among others.
