基本説明
The only practitioner text focussing solely on the practice and procedure of the Youth Court.
Full Description
Youth courts practice and procedure is extremely complex and at present there is very little written guidance available for practitioners. Blackstone's Youth Courts Practice and Procedure is the only practitioner text focussing solely on the practice and procedure of the youth court. Following the style and approach ofBlackstone's Criminal Practice , it is an annual publication providing equivalent coverage for practitioners in the youth courts and at Crown Court juvenile trials.
The content of the book includes; age; parental responsibility; police station practice; the youth justice system; and sentencing; and places these within the context of the relevant UN Conventions. Written in a practical and user-friendly style, it incorporates helpful procedural tables, flowcharts, and examples, together with relevant primary legislation, ensuring that the book will be useful in court as well as in general research.
The authors Andrew Mimmack and Richard Powell are both experts in youth court work, and are assisted by an advisory board with considerable experience in the field.
