This is a brief supplementary textbook to be used in the undergraduate organic chemistry course. Stereochemistry is one of the most difficult topics covered in the course as it requires the student to learn how to visualize and manipulate structures, which is akin to learning a new language. Although all of the textbooks available for the course provide some coverage of stereochemistry, many students need the help this supplement will provide. The authors clarify and illuminate the same topics found in the stereochemistry chapter of the large text and follow this with many examples, problems, and solutions. The book teaches through examples, illustrations, and problem-solving and provides step-by-step guidance in structure manipulation. Thus, the student learns the material and is not simply asked to memorize it. The book is modeled after the very successful supplemental text by D. Weeks, entitled ^D<"Pushing Electrons: A Guide for Students of Organic Chemistry^D>".
