In 1926, the ""Rochester Times-Union"" did a trial run of a column in verse; ""Songs of a Housewife"". It proved popular and ran for two years, with a poem a day, six days a week. The 250 poems collected here present ""homespun"" advice in the voice of an emerging feminist.
