Electronic Module consisting of three 5 1/4 inch diskettes and 16 page Instruction Manual. This electronic module is designed to provide rapid access to current information on gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. In addition to providing a useful separate supplement to Basic Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, Principles and Techniques by F.W. Karasek and F.A. Settle, it may also be used as an independent information source. The module consists of two parts: files containing the knowledge base and the retrieval program* which allows the information to be presented in a user-friendly format. A number of special purpose files are included in the module: a module index, a glossary, and a list of keywords. The program* which handles the selection and presentation of data in the module files permits the user to access information in three ways. The most direct method of accessing files is via the index mode. In this mode the user selects the file code of interest from the module index (table of contents), enters this code and is presented with the contents of the desired file. This mode is most useful to those having some familiarity with GC-MS.
