Text in German. How can the sermon appropriately bring the biblical textual statement and the listening situation into conversation with one another? This basic question of the doctrine of preaching is currently being posed in an intensified form. An essential feature of a present that is often referred to as postmodern is the ever increasing differentiation of different lifeworlds, each with its own horizon of understanding. In the dialogue between Luther's sermon and modern aesthetic theory, the work tries to show that scriptural and creative-open sermons are not mutually exclusive, but are mutually dependent.
