VOB (German: "Vergabe- und Vertragsordnung für Bauleistungen") is the standard reference work for the construction industry with an influence extending far beyond Germany. It governs the award of construction contracts (Part A), sets out conditions of contract relating to the execution of construction work (Part B), and describes good building practice for the many trades making up the construction sector (Part C): information that is essential for architects, engineers, investors, the trades, construction companies, building authorities and manufacturers of construction materials and components. This essential volume contains English translations of all 67 standards making up the VOB.
